Yellow journalism is how journalist attract readers by exaggerating news. This is usually done by politically-controlled newspaper or newly published or unpopular newspaper to attract readers attention.

The newspaper “KOSMO”, did this once, when they reported that anime is X-rated! This is totally biased and ignorant. Sure there are some anime which contain unsuitable scene but that is obviously and totally not marketed to kids! This KOSMO journalist generalised every anime in the market as being SEX CARTOON! Can you believe that? Maybe parents will believe, as they don’t know what their kids are watching…. You mean to say anime like Naruto or Doraemon is x-rated?  Does this means that TV3 or NTV7 is guilty of airing PORNO cartoon?

naruto=gay porn?

gundam=robot porn?

This is a very irresponsible act by KOSMO, as it’s an insult to the anime community in Malaysia, which is a very large community indeed. Don’t mess with us!

  3. I’m glad that you agree.

    Kosmo journalist takes advantage of the fact that most parents don’t know anything about anime.

    Anime is diverse, and I agree we should have control as there are anime that is inappropriate for children, but creating hyped up news isn’t the solution. The only thing they succeed is to make the public/ anime community angry.
